PRODUCT FEATURES
These box-shaped containers are thermoformed from transparent plastic and feature a hinged lid with a positive snap closure. They are re-sealable and reusable and are designed to be hung on a pegboard display or placed freestanding on a counter (the ability of a clamshell to stand up depends on the weight distribution of the product it contains relative to its height and depth). Our Clamshells also have  incorporated the plastic industries identification symbol into the clamshells to aid post consumer recycling, as it becomes available for this type of product. The program consists initially of over 45 popular sizes, in stock for quick shipment. A special feature of the program is the availability of corresponding stock die insert cards that can be custom printed by HS & Associates to meet the packager's requirements. TOP OF PAGE

Numbers of colors including Pantone Matching System (PMS) numbers with "C" suffix. Universal Product Code (UPC) number or film negative, if needed. A test scan is recommended to make sure the bar code can be properly read through the plastic.   ·         It is always recommended that a secondary sealing method, such as radio frequency, ultrasonic or heat sealing, pressure sensitive labels or staples are used to secure clamshells.
