Surlyn Skin Film
Surlyn Skin Film is a extremely strong, high clarity, highly durable packaging film made from the DuPont Surlyn resin. It is used in conjunction with a special coated board to create a protective and or retail package.
Characteristics:
- Excellent formability and toughness in that it can pack a standing needle without being pierced through.
- Strong Fragility (Flex-crack) such that even at polar temperatures, the fragility resistance of skin packaging with Surlyn resins is much better than other films.
- High clarity and abrasion resistance.
- Drawability for high profile items.
- Low shrink force to minimize board curl.
- Absorbs and dissipates heat quickly for highest possible production speeds.
